2014 KAMHC Conference

The 5th Korean American Missions Health Conference was held at Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles, California on June 20th (Friday) – 21st (Saturday) of 2014.

Our conference was targeted towards those who want to be used as God’s instruments of healing in places that continue to desperately need “Total Healing, Jesus Healing.” Healthcare professionals of all ages, non-healthcare people, students and volunteers were challenged to bring “Jesus Healing” to people on the mission fields who have never heard of the name of Jesus through our professions as they were blessed by 4 exemplary speakers (David Thompson MD, Sinki Ahn MD, Susie Kim RN, John Kim PH.D.) and over 20 workshop speakers and 2 missionary speakers. The attendees were united with the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ to seek the lost, the scattered, the broken and the sick through our 5th conference in LA.

It was exciting to witness such a vast gathering of individuals from different careers, specialties, and locations (14 countries and 20 states were represented) with a sole purpose: to obey the Great Commission. We had 48 mission organizations that contributed to the enrichment of the overall experience, and the inspiring speakers who served as God’s instruments.

The  seminar, “Caring for the Whole Person,” was held in New Life Fellowship Church in Houston, TX, during April 7-9, 2011. The seminar was intended for anyone interested in whole-some healing mission. Our main speaker was Dr. Dan Fountain. He has served in Congo for 35 years as a medical missionary and is one of important lecturers of Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA). One of his lectures focused on the new paradigm of medical mission, using his personal and professional experience. There were other powerful speakers who have passions in various issues of mission, such as building medical schools in Malawi or doing regional ministry by finding water wells for the community.

2008 KAMHC Conference

Is there any compelling reason why the Korean-American Missions Health Conference (KAMHC) should be held?
What would be the justification that you can provide for bearing the relatively high opportunity cost of choosing to participate in the KAMHC, not to mention the considerable amount of time and resources required? If these questions were posed to me, they would definitely be the ones that I already know answers to, since I can assure that the KAMHC is something worthy of participation as well as session itself on behalf of the following benefits to be derived through the conference:

2006 KAMHC Conference

The 1st Korean American Mission Health Conference.

All things are within the providence of God, and they revolve around His time. We, the believers, must recognize God’s final days in the midst of chaotic incidences in forms of political, economic and social issues, religious clashes, and severest natural disasters in recent years occurring in various places in the world such as Korea, the United States, Southeast Asia, Middle East Region, China and other countries. Provided such spiritual insight, we must realize what work we must engage in at this particular time. Strength exerted in collaboration compounds to greater Strength. It may never reach its capacity or make greater history should it be dispersed. Korean Christian healthcare professionals scattered throughout in the United States and Canada illustrate one good example.
